Did you know that Tooth Soap® (the internet's biggest sensation and most generous company) makes an all-natural "toothsoap" for your pet? Pretty cool, eh? Chief is hosting a Cutest Pet Contest... if you post your cutest pet picture, follow a couple rules and link up, you COULD WIN SOME. How awesome is that? After you ooh and ahhh my cutest pet, go check out Chief's blog to see how to play along!!
So without further ado, here is my cutest pet picture:
See how easy this is? Play Along. You can win.
P.S. For the record, I have two siamese cats. Siamese cats do not like to pose for pictures, much less acting cute. I realize I may not actually qualify for the prize. I understand.
The following post is for my Mom and Dad. And maybe MaeRae. Because it is a video of my adorable, talented, beautiful children singing in their melodious voices. And only grammies and grampies and quasi-aunties can truly appreciate this.
The rest of you might be thinking to yourself, oh for the love of Pete, not another picture/video/drawing of her freaking kids again!! When is she going to write a real blog post? That's it, she is OFF my reader...
Although, someday, when they are more famous than Brittney, J-Lo and Shakira combined, and we are on the Ellen show (yes, we) you just might find yourself watching this and thinking it looks oddly familiar.
Sorry about the shaking. I am no videographer. and I was laughing in the middle. And it's on my point and shoot camera. Not the Flip I am hoping to convince my dad to buy me - hi Dad! Yeah. All that.
Enjoy... (mine are in the first row, second and third from the right)
(ps. I know it's Monday in the rest of the world. But this is Laurieville. Just go with it.)
I am trying something new today. It’s normally called Monday Minute but today it’s called a Monkey Minute.
Monkey is a little girl who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Monkey and her family need prayers. Please take a minute to thank God for the good things in your life and to prayer for comfort and healing for Monkey and her family.
If you want to read more about Monkey, you can get to her Momma's blog, by clicking this button:
Also, Ian of The Daily Dose of Reality is hosting a raffle to support Monkey and her family. If you'd like to enter the raffle and see what you can enter to win, head over to his blog for the details.
So on to the Monkey Minute… 5 questions with my five answers. If you play, you can link up at Ian’s as well…
Have you ever peed in the shower/bath/pool? In a bath, never! In a pool, not in a very long time. In the ocean, well, yeah. The fish do it. So can’t I!!
What is your biggest pet peeve? Self-created drama. You know the kind. Drama for the sake of drama. Drama that could be avoided if you woke up, grew up and shut up! Yeah, that drama.
What's the story behind your blog title? I tend to march to the beat of my own little internal drummer. At a previous job, someone asked what color the sky was in my world. My world became known as Laurieville. And I wanted to be a countess. It sounded so exotic. So, I became the self-proclaimed Countess of Laurieville. Population 1. Unless I am pregnant. Which I am not. (Oh, and the sky? Purple. With pink polka dots sometimes.)
What is your definition of success? Being truly happy with where you are and what you have.
If you were famous, what would you want to be famous for? For writing a fantastic novel that encourages people and makes them happy!
P.S. Cancer - YOU SUCK. Stop picking on itty bitty's... You are mean and I hate you. Yes, I said hate. Cuz I hate YOU!!
As you can see in this picture, the home we used to own (in the background) was simply just too small for our family of four. So we upgraded. The only downside is the neighbors are pretty close on the right...
