How did she go from this...
To this????
Waaaaah!
Tomorrow is the first day of Kindergarten. I realized this evening that she needed a "snack bag". I figured I could just whip something up. Bwaa Haa Haa... not without directions. So, I googled me up "lunch bag" and I found a link to these directions from The Princess and the Monkey via CraftGossip.com.
The tutorial was well written and easy to follow and only took me 1.5 hours from start to finish (and I had to dig up all my supplies from various locations since my "craft space" is in transit). It wouldn't take nearly so long if you had everything together. And it is soooo sweet.
I used canvas for the interior fabric and a cute princess fabric for the exterior. Where she is only having snack time, I figured it would not get too messy. I also couldn't find my ribbon (that is packed somewhere) so I made a little loop out of the extra fabric. Ribbon would hold better, but this will do, I think.
Here is the flattened product so you can see some dimensions. It has about a two inch flat bottom (the tutorial on page 3 says to make a two-inch triangle; I only made a one inch triangle).
I love when things work out quickly and perfectly. Thank you Lisa (and Ms. Weaver). I couldn't have done it without you!!

Cuteness for Rent
So, what have we been up to all summer? Nothing much!
June:
It rained all of June so that month was a waste.
July:
We enjoyed Cape Cod over the 4th which made a couple Wordless Wednesday posts. (Hey, it's WW again ... oh well). We also got to sneak in a camping trip which was wonderful.
August:
Oooh, so far, August is the winner! On August 3rd, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Don't feel sorry for me; I have had no symptoms. The cure, however, may kill me! Doxycycline is NOT my friend. I have learned that besides being an evil, evil antibiotic, you can vomit and drive at the same time!
Then, last weekend, my girls participated in a friend's wedding as the flower girls. I can say with all honesty and no amount of subjectiveness that they are the quintessential flower girls. When you open a dictionary to look up "flower girl", their pictures should be there.
So without further ado, here is their cuteness!
And if you really want to cry, check out the professional pictures at Loving Eyes Photography.
So, I will be happy to rent out this cuteness for a large fee plus travel expenses. Cuteness is guaranteed. No refunds for behaviour
